Hi there.

Welcome to this little place I've found on the interwebs to journal my lovely and creatively chaotic life.

This picture of me was taken by a dear friend and amazing artist Britt Van Deusen

Tim Ferriss Podcast Junkie

I don't care how long they are or how much I don't know about what I think they are going to be, the focused questions around his interest in creativity death, spirituality, internal growth, mindfulness, mental illness, Alzheimer's, writing, life experiences, education, research, experts, life opportunities, all of it... You've got my number Tim Ferriss.

I'm definitely not your profiled target audience, which as a marketer I'd profile as:

  • male

  • between 25-45

  • educated

  • career oriented

  • success driven

  • no children

Well maybe I fit a few of those, but it's the "why" in his podcast series, "The Tim Ferriss Show" that gets me every time.

My why and his why are on a parallel path of seeking answers and creative problem solving for this thing we call "life and humanity." Why are we here and what is our purpose for this physical life?

The two hour podcast I soaked up Monday while driving, making 200 meals, doing 7 loads of laundry and cleaning up after the 6 humans I somehow keep alive each day (knock on wood!) was about psychedelics being used to help cure mental illness, opioid and addiction recovery, and other things our human population desperately needs help with. I knew nothing about the topic, but I learned so much and even began to connect the dots to that one time I tried a tab of acid on that multi-million dollar citrus ranch in Ojai, California, with a handful of guy friends I'd met at a gay dance club in San Francisco.

But I suppose that story is for another time and now I need to get back to the present of making lunches for four kids to take to school and prepping my list of what needs to get done for clients today. Sigh and thank you Tim for your interesting podcasts that keep me company and torture my husband and friends with my constant, "The other day while listening to Tim I learned..."

Lotsa Love,

Leah
